By Simon Bristow

One of Hull’s biggest street festivals returns on Saturday with a varied programme of live music, food and entertainment taking place on Princes Avenue.

The Vista Festival 2022 “celebrates the culture of HU5” and is expected to attract thousands of people to the popular west Hull street, which will be closed to traffic.

The event, organised by the Princes Avenue Community and Traders (PACT) group, takes place between 2.30pm and 7.30pm and features live music from established and emerging artists on a Main Stage and Acoustic Stage.

There will also be art installations, street food and stalls, the George Tucker Funfair, face-painting, street entertainers, and the Beats Bus.

Pearl’s Cab Ride headline the Main Stage on a bill that also includes The Quicksilver Kings, Hillbilly Troupe, Skelton Hooper School of Dance & Theatre, and Thoresby Street School Choir.

The line-up on the Acoustic Stage features Black Kes, Ben Farr & Josh Darby, Ellie Pollard, Tymisha, Tom Edwards, Tim O’Connor & The Poachers, Alex, and Lindsey Simpson.

Some bars will also be hosting live music and DJ sets. Vintage vocalist Ruth Getz will be performing at Pave, Brunch Club, and Garbutt’s, and dance artists Tamar and Jo will be giving pop-up performances at various locations throughout the day.
